PLEASE NOTE: We are not a massage parlor or any type of massage establishment since last summer. We are also NOT a SOB. We’ve always offered alternative therapies.
Jessica Rodriguez was our only massage therapist providing massage services - she subleased her room as all other contractors did. Sandra Lane is a LMT/independent contractor but worked front desk every other month 1-2x that month over the past year and did not provide massage therapy in the facility - and yes we have video/audio of Sandra working front desk BEFORE this incident telling clients she’s not doing massage only working front desk and scheduling Jessica for all massage services.
We were accused of allowing unlicensed people to do massage and that did not happen. All the practitioners provide only the services which they maintain certification. Police automatically issued “unlicensed massage” tickets to everyone that was with a client with no regards to what services were being provided or paid for. No one was doing a massage & no one provided sexual services at our establishment (Jessica was not scheduled that day). One woman was with an undercover cop and was charged on prostitution for allegedly accepting $100 for allowing the client to masturbate himself... !!!client was dressed and practitioner never said nor agreed to a $100 offer nor received any money from client!!! We know that any recording device sapd has will confirm this never happened. The charge alone fueled the media a week after the incident occurred.
The media has shown that contractor and the business guilty but if we were, we wouldn’t have stayed open after the incident. The business was not charged with prostitution, only that individual contractor was. No one stays open over 11 years by providing illegal illicit services and Ablaze Bodyworks never has. We closed twice, once after 9/11 and May 1st, both due to economics and nothing else.
